O R D E R

Mrs.Geetha Thamaraiselvan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for R1 to R3 and is armed with instructions to proceed with the matter finally. In view of the order that is proposed to be passed in this Writ petition, no notice is thought necessary at this juncture to R4, private respondent. Hence, by consent of both sides, in fact at request of learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed finally even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner has sought a mandamus directing the second respondent, i.e., the Revenue Divisional Officer to conduct the peace committee meeting as per his representation dated 19.02.2022.

3. The crux of his complaint is that the procession of the Kuthiraivahanam of the New Mariamman Temple, Thirumalaipatty Village, Namakkal District encroaches upon his land, in support of which stand, he produces a settlement deed that he claims has been executed in his favour.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner circulates now a communication dated 21.02.2022 issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer/R2 to the Tahsildar/R3 directing the latter to conduct a peace meeting as per the request of the petitioner, in order to resolve the dispute.

5. The entirety of this litigation spans three days, the representation dated 19.02.2022, the communication of the Revenue Divisional Officer dated 21.02.2022 and the festival having commenced today, i.e., 22.02.2022 till 28.02.2022. This has left the authorities no time whatsoever to consider the matter and take a view, after hearing the parties.

6. Now, seeing as a direction has been issued by R2 to R3 for conduct of peace meeting, which direction is reiterated under this order, R3 shall hear the parties by tomorrow (23.02.2022), take a view on the grievance expressed by the petitioner and pass a speaking order after taking note of the submissions of the parties.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
