Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant leave without escort for 60 days to the petitioner's husband viz., Mohamed Ansari, S/o.Mohamed Sheik, aged 49 years, life convict No.13875, confined at the Central Prison, Kovai.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] After giving a representation dated 09.02.2021 to the Superintendent, Central Prison, Coimbatore, seeking two months ordinary leave for the convict prisoner viz., Mohamed Ansari (CT.No.13875), his wife has filed the present petition with the above prayer.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor brought to the notice of this Court that the representation dated 09.02.2021 of the petitioner was considered and by G.O.(2D) No.228 Home (Prison-V) Department, dated 28.09.2021, the said representation has been rejected on various grounds stated therein.

In view of the above, this writ petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedies in the manner known to law. No costs.
