O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Inspector of Police, Veppur Police Station, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District, not to harass the petitioner and petitioner's family.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a civil suit pending filed by one Annapoorni against the petitioner and four others in O.S.No.221 of 2022 on the file of the learned Additional District Judge - III, Virudhachalam, Kadalur. Meanwhile, the said Annapoorni gave a false complaint against the petitioner. On the basis of the said false complaint, third respondent is unnecessarily harassing the petitioner. 3.In response, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by Annapoorani, First Information Report in F.I.R.No.649 of 2022 was registered against the petitioner and three others for the offence under Sections 294 (b), 323, 355, 506 2/7

(1) I.P.C. and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. On the basis of the complaint given by one Amutha First Information Report in F.I.R.No.8 of 2023 was registered against the petitioner and seven others for the offence under Section 147, 447, 341, 294 (b), 323 and 506 (1) I.P.C. and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. On the basis of the complaint given by one Pavunambal First Information Report in F.I.R.No.9 of 2023 was registered for the offences under Section 147, 294 (b), 323, 355 and 506 (1) I.P.C. and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Petitioner is accused in F.I.R.No.8 of 2023. On the basis of the complaint given, now the matter is referred to RDO, Veppur, for enquiry under Section 145 Cr.P.C. and the enquiry is pending. 4.

In the light of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), now the matter is pending before RDO, Veppur for enquiry under Section 145 Cr.P.C., petitioner is directed to appear before RDO, Veppur for enquiry and co-operate during the course of enquiry. Accordingly, no order may be passed in this petition, in view of the pendency of proceedings before RDO, Veppur.

5.With the above observations and direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
