ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to give adequate protection to the petitioners and their school going children from the perpetrators based on the complaints dated 14.02.2018 and 02.02.2018.

2.On 21.03.2018, this Court referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court of Madras for amicable settlement. The petitioners and the counter part appeared before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court of Madras and have come forward to settle the matter amicably by way of filing the Memorandum of Compromise dated 20.04.2018.

3.The signed Memo of Compromise dated 20.04.2018 has been filed by the petitioners and the counterpart. All the parties are present and identified by their respective counsel and the Police. This Court also enquired both the parties and was satisfied that the parties have come to an amicable settlement between themselves.

4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. The terms of the Memo of Compromise dated 20.04.2018 shall form part and parcel of this Order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
