O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent / contemnor.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that though the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Services Wing, Secretariar, Chennai-9 took a decision to regularise the services of the petitioners, it has not been done, despite the orders passed by this Court.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent / contemnor submits that the representation made in this regard has been considered and a decision has been

taken to reject the request made by the petitioners vide G.O.(1D) No.87, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, dated 01.03.2018. Heard the learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission also.

4. In the light of the above submission, the contempt petition is closed. However, if the petitioners are so advised, they are at liberty to challenge the said Government Order in accordance with law before the appropriate forum.
