This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the old exiting EB cables and lay new EB cables from EB pillar at Cheriyan Nagar Main Road, near 2/5

Ambedkar Statute to Desiya Nagar, 4th Street, and Kannu Pillai Street to Desiya Nagar 4th Street, New Washermenpet, Chennai-81 and also to provide back fitting sources facilities to the aforesaid street.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government appearing for the 1st respondent as well as the learned standing counsel appearing for the 2nd to 6th respondents/Electricity Board would state that new EB cables have been laid and the final work will be completed within a period of two weeks.

3. Recording the above submission made, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to complete the work within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
