PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent authority to give Bandhobath and permission for conducting the Cultural dance program (Adal padal) in the event of Kulliyur Village Sri MakaliAmman Thirukovil at Bharamadesam Post, Anthiyur Via, Erode District on 23.02.2023 between 6PM to 11PM based on my representation dated 05.02.2023. The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent authority to

direct the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of "Kulliyur Village Sri MakaliAmman Thirukovil" at Bharamadesam Post, Anthiyur Via, Erode District on 23.02.2023 between 6 PM to 11 PM based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2023.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the cultural programme in the event of "Kulliyur Village Sri MakaliAmman Thirukovil" at Bharamadesam Post, Anthiyur Via, Erode District on 23.02.2023 between 6 PM to 11 PM, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 05.02.2023 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing

for the respondent police.

5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.02.2023 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
