ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 25/02/2014 and investigate the same in accordance with law, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the counter petitioner is locally not available. But, that cannot be a good reason not to proceed with the investigation.

4. Hence, the respondent police is directed to take further steps to trace out the counter petitioner, conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 25.2.2014 and proceed with the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigation in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)]..

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
