Respondent(s) PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd Respondent to grant promotion as Inspector of Police with effect from the date of promotion of petitioner immediate Junior in the light of Orders in Rc. No.194212/NGB.IV(1)/2014 dated 26.10.2015 and to assign proper seniority in the Post of Sub Inspector of Police and also to revise petitioner pensionary benefits accordingly and to disburse the monetary benefits thereof with interest all within a limited time frame as deemed fit by this Honble Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd Respondent to grant promotion as Inspector of Police with effect from the date of promotion of petitioner immediate Junior in the light of Orders in Rc. No.194212/NGB.IV(1)/2014 dated 26.10.2015 and to assign proper seniority in the Post of Sub Inspector of Police and also to revise petitioner pensionary benefits accordingly and to disburse the monetary benefits thereof with interest.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed as Grade I Women Police Constable in the year 1986 and rendered 37 years of service in the Police Department and retired from service as Sub Inspection. The petitioner made several representations seeking promotion on par with her juniors and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents have not received any representation from the petitioner so far.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court permits the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation on merits within a period of twelve weeks, thereafter.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
