The petitioner has come up with this petition, seeking for a direction to the first respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.24/2015 registered on 19/01/2015.

2. Heard the Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police. There is no representation for the petitioner.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and taking into account the nature of allegations in the complaint, a blanket direction to file a final report cannot be given and instead, it would be in the interest of justice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent police to complete the investigation and either file a final report or closure report as the case may be, as expeditiously as possible, with due intimation to the petitioner.
