ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 420 and 506(1) of IPC in Crime No.6 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The allegation against the petitioner herein is that for the past 15 years, she along with her son are running an unregistered chit and collected several crores of rupees from the investors and hence, this complaint has been registered against the petitioner. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is 73 years old lady and she is nothing to do with the alleged crime.

4.However, the averment found in the First Information Report and the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) indicates that the unregistered illegal chit fund business has been run by the petitioner and her son for the past 15 years and sofar more than 40 complaints have been received for cheating to the tune of Rs.4.5 crores in the magnitude of the crime. Government Advocate(Crl.Side) states that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much essential and if anticipatory bail is granted to the petitioner, it will be difficult to trace the travel of money cheated.
