Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take effective measures to stop the construction of arch Baghwath Singh Nagar Madhavaram, Chennai encroaching the road and subsequently take appropriate action to restore the road.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Mr.Arun Babu for Corporation states that the arch is being put-up illegally by Suyambu Angala Parameswari Sakthi Peedam.

2. Counsel states that notice to remove the arch has been issued on 27 March 2025, to which there is not even a reply from the temple. Counsel

says action, in accordance with law, will be taken promptly.
