ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the order passed by the respondent dated 16.06.2016, quash the same and consequently directing the respondent to return the petitioners impounded passport bearing Passport No. Z3308837.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was issued with a passport on 07.12.2015, however, subsequently, vide the impugned order dated 16.06.2016 the same was impounded on the ground of forgery in wrong birth entry. Challenging the same, this writ petition.

3. When the case was taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the counter, it is submitted by the respondent that if fresh application is filed, the same will be considered. Hence, the petitioner submitted a fresh application on 28.03.2024 under Tatkal scheme and online appointment receipt is also issued on 28.03.2024. Hence, seeks for a direction to consider the fresh application and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the respondent to consider the fresh application dated 28.03.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
