1. Mr.Selvasekaran, appears for Corporation of Chennai. He says that planning/building permission for second floor can only be granted by Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) and that under delegated power. The Corporation of Chennai is concerned, only with the ground and first floor.
1.1. That apart, learned counsel says that the structural safety of the building is required to be examined and deviation if any in the building to be looked at and rectified.
2. Ms.Vanitha, is present in Court on behalf of the CMDA. 2.1. Learned counsel says that if the applicant would approach the CMDA, permission would be granted, subject to the compliance with extent rules and regulations.

3. The captioned application is accordingly disposed of, directing the applicant to visit the concerned Officer in CMDA on 14.12.2016 at 3.00 p.m. Information/required document will be put in writing to the applicant. The applicant will, accordingly, take steps in the matter. In case, the applicant is still aggrieved, he is given liberty to take appropriate measures in accordance with law.
