Course, Anna University, Chennai of the petitioner (Registration No. 2019701015) enabling the petitioner to enter into 9th Semester during June-2023 as per 11.3 (v) of Regulations-2019 issued by the Anna University [University Departments], Chennai - 600 025.

ORDER

Let me not hold over the writ petition any longer.

2. The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a certiorarified mandamus seeking interference with the order dated 25.07.2022, passed by the fourth respondent, the Deputy Controller of Examination, School of Architecture and Planning (SAP) Campus, Anna University at Chennai, which order was confirmed by the first respondent/the Vice Chancellor, Chennai on an appeal dated 31.12.2022.

3. The petitioner, had joined B.Arch. five year course in Anna University, Chennai in the academic year 2019-2020. She is now studying in 8th Semester/fourth year. She wrote her second and third 2/7

semester examination. According to her she had written her fifth semester through online but issues were raised by the respondents that she had not properly uploaded the answer sheets in PDF form. It is complained that she uploaded them in Google Cloud and the respondents were of the opinion that the answer sheets could be altered even after they had been submitted to the respondents herein.

4. There is also an issue whether the petitioner had submitted hard copy of the answer sheets.

5. Let me not enter into all those discussions since the petitioner is still student of the respondent. It is held out by the respondents that she can appear for the said fifth semester in March, 2023, which is to commence from 23.03.2023 onwards, the petitioner may take up that particular opportunity and write the fifth semester examination which commences from March, 2023. Let the respondents provide her with necessary application form for writing the said examination and on payment of the examination fees, the petitioner is permitted to write the said examination.

6. I am sure this would not prejudice her further studies with 3/7

the respondents which may continue. I am informed that she has done excellently well in all her exams. This court can only wish her well.

7. This Court also places its deep appreciation to Mr. U. Baranidharan, learned Standing Counsel for Anna University/respondents who had ensured that the petitioner does not suffer owing to her inadvertence.
