ORDER
The writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to decide and pass orders on the petitioner's appeal petition dated 27.03.2020 and reminder appeal petitions dated 07.1.2020 and 24.12.2021 submitted with a request to include the name of the petitioner
in the Panel of Superintendent for the year 2019 vide Proceedings of the first respondent in Proc.No.AE4/40520/2019 dated 24.01.2020, within the time fixed by this Court.
2. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he has filed an appeal petition dated 27.03.2020 and reminder appeal petitions dated 07.1.2020 and 24.12.2021 before the first respondent with a request to include his name in the Panel of Superintendent for the year 2019 vide Proceedings of the first respondent in Proc.No.AE4/40520/2019 dated 24.01.2020. But so far, no orders have been passed by the first respondent. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition before this court.
4. The learned counsel for petitioner submitted before this Court that it would be suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal petition dated 27.03.2020 and pass appropriate orders.
5. The learned Senior counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the first respondent is the competent authority to pass orders.
6. Considering the limited scope of prayer made in the writ petition and considering the submissions made by the counsel for the parties concerned, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 27.03.2020 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible within the period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
