This petition has been filed to condone the delay of 400 days in filing the above Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.
2. Notice to the 1st respondent is already dispensed with.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.J.Michael Visuvasam, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.
4. Having satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, delay is condoned. C.M.P.No.5874 of 2025 is allowed.
5. The Registry is directed to number the civil miscellaneous appeal and list the matter for admission, if it is otherwise in order.
6. It is made clear that the petitioners/claimants are not entitled to claim interest for the delay period of 400 days on the enhanced award amount in the event of their success in the appeal.
7. The Registry is further directed to print the name of Mr.J.Michael Visuvasam as counsel for the 2nd respondent in the cause-list at the time of admission.
