O R D E R

Alleging disobedience of the order made in W.P.No.25999 of 2013 dated 18.09.2013, contempt application is filed.

2. When the matter came up for hearing on 11.02.2015, on the basis of the proceedings in R.C.No.A1/1040 of 2013 dated 24.03.2014, of the Assistant Commissioner (Land Reforms), Villupuram, Mr.T.R.Rajagopalan, learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the directions issued in W.P.No.25999 of 2013 dated 18.09.2013, have been complied with. However, when the attention of the learned Special Government Pleader was invited to the order made in W.P.No.25999 of 2013 dated 18.09.2013, by which directions were given only to the Joint Commissioner (Land Reforms), Vellipuram, the 2nd respondent herein to pass orders and not to the Assistant Commissioner of Land Reforms, Villupuram, the State counsel, was directed to clarify as to why the Assistant Commissioner (Land Reforms), Villupuram, has passed the order.

3. Explaining the above, a detailed affidavit dated 16.03.2015, has been filed wherein it has been clarified that the post of Joint Commissioner (Land Reforms) has been downgraded as Assistant Commissioner (Land Reforms) and thus, the order dated 24.03.2014, came to be passed by the

Assistant Commissioner (Land Reforms). Reasons assigned in this affidavit are accepted. There is no willful and deliberate contempt. Hence, the present Contempt Petition is dismissed. No costs.
