Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation given by the petitioner on 24.03.2018 and to reject the nomination filed by Mr.Sivakumar, the fourth respondent herein from contesting the post of Board of Directors in VV No.2659 Walaja Panchayat Union Teachers' Co-operative Credit Society.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 24.03.2018 and to reject the nomination filed by Mr.Sivakumar, the fourth respondent herein from contesting the post of Board of Directors in VV No.2659 Walaja Panchayat Union Teachers' Co-operative Credit Society.

2.Learned Special Government Pleader would submit that although a report under Section 81 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act has been submitted, no one is aware of the result of the report. However, the pending representation would be considered.

3.Mr.M.S.Palanisamy, learned Standing Counsel also submitted that in view of the order passed by the Apex Court directing the respondent to proceed with the election without declaring the results, till date no final decision has been taken to declare the elected candidates.

4.Therefore, there is no impediment to consider the pending representation made by the petitioner dated 24.03.2018. Accordingly, the second respondent, District Election Officer, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies is hereby directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
