Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose off the appeal dated 10.3.2016 preferred by the petitioner against the proceedings R.C.No.AD5/86045/2014 dated 28.12.2015 of the first respondent by which the petitioner has been imposed with penalty of stoppage of increment for two years with cumulative effect with further direction to recover the consequential loss, without any further delay.

ORDER

The petitioner suffered an order of punishment of stoppage of increment for two years with cumulative effect passed by the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, the first respondent herein on 28.12.2015. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the Board of Directors of Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation Limited represented by its Company Secretary, the second respondent herein on 10.3.2016. As the petitioner's promotional avenues are all in stake and she has also got a fair chance of success before the appellate authority, she seeks for immediate dispose of the same.

2. Mr.L.P.Shanmughasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought four months time to dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner.

3. This Court, accepting the said request, hereby directs the second respondent to consider the appeal of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
