No.17766 of 2022 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J The applicant seeks leave to institute the suit against respondents 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33, 35 to 36 before this Court. The applicant states that the subject matter of the suit is a movie which is being produced in Chennai. It is stated that the movie is scheduled for release in Chennai and that the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court.

2. Upon examining the draft plaint and the affidavit in support of the application, it appears that the cause of action has arisen at least partly within the jurisdiction of this Court. Accordingly, A.No.656 of 2022 is allowed by granting leave to the applicant to institute the suit against respondents 1 to 3, 5 to 14, 16 to 30, 33 and 35 to 36 before this Court. Consequently, the Registry is directed to number the suit, if it is otherwise in order.
