O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Learned Subordinate Judge, Vellore, Vellore District to dispose of the H.M.O.P.No.71 of 2015 within the stipulated time.

2. The petitioner is the wife and respondent is the husband. The marriage between the petitioner and respondent was conducted on 23.01.2005, as per Hindu Rites and Customs. Due to difference of opinion, the petitioner filed H.M.O.P.No.71 of 2015 for divorce on the ground of cruelty and desertion, on the file of the Learned Subordinate Judge, Vellore, Vellore District against the respondent. The respondent has entered appearance and filed counter on 01.12.2015. From that date onwards, the respondent is protracting the proceedings for his own convenience and H.M.O.P. is frequently adjourned without any progress and is kept pending. In the circumstances, the present Civil Revision Petition is filed for the speedy disposal of H.M.O.P.No.71 of 2015.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, considering the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition and since the H.M.O.P. is pending from 2015, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of

the matter, I direct the learned Learned Subordinate Judge, Vellore, Vellore District to dispose of the H.M.O.P.No.71 of 2015 on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
