ORDER
The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(B) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (amendment) Act 2024 in Crime No. 536 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. This is the 2nd anticipatory bail petition. This Court has earlier dismissed bail petition of the petitioners in Crl.O.P.No.204 of 2026 dated 08.01.2026 on the following reasons:
"5.Considering the quantity of the liquor bottles involved in this case and if the petitioners are granted anticipatory bail, there is a likelihood that they would involve in similar offence, hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners."
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the alleged occurrence is said to have taken place on 23.12.2025 and the 2nd petitioner is not having any previous case and the 1st petitioner is also granted anticipatory bail in the earlier case. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioners.
4. Though this Court has dismissed the bail petition of the petitioners on 08.01.2026, considering the fact that huge quantity of liquor to the extend of 345 bottles have been recovered, hence, this Court is not inclined to revisit the earlier order, this petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
