This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing respondents to pay the salary of the petitioner for the periods from September 1974 to December 1981 and from 01.01.1982 to 30.06.1988 and also pay other service benefits.

2. It is seen from the records that pending writ petition, the petitioner died long back. However, the legal heirs did not take any steps to substitute themselves in the place of the writ petitioner. Therefore, this Writ petition is dismissed as abated. There shall be no order as to costs.
