Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.02.2021 given by the petitioner by directing the "Kozhi Pappan" family not to keep their "Karagam" but to keep the Villages made Karagam in order to avoid any law and order problem in the "Masi Pournami" festival to be held on 24.02.2021.

The prayer in this Writ Petition is for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.02.2021 by directing the "Kozhi Pappan" family not to keep their "Karagam" but to keep the Karagam made by the Villagers in order to avoid any law and order problem in the "Masi Pournami" festival to be held on 24.02.2021 in Pudur Mariamman Thirukoil, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District (temple).
2. A copy of proceedings dated 22.02.2021 passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri in a Peace Meeting conducted involving the petitioner, 5th respondent and all other concerned authorities, is circulated. A copy thereof is made available to Mr.R.P.Prathap Singh, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents, i.e., the authorities of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department (HR & CE Department). The assurance of Mr.Prathap to the effect that the directions contained in order dated 22.02.2021 will be implemented in letter and spirit is recorded.
3. Since the temple comes under the ambit of the HR & CE Department, it is for the Department to take note of the aforesaid proceedings and implement the same suitably.
4. Notice to R5 is not thought necessary, as he has participated in the Peace Meeting, culminating in order dated 22.02.2021.
5. This Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
