Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the First Respondent to approve the appointment of the Petitioner as Office Assistant in the office of the Second Respondent in furtherance of the resolution dated 12.08.2015, passed by the selection committee of the Third Respondent and consequently to issue appointment order in favour of the Petitioner within a stipulated time. 1/4

O R D E R

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner had collected the case bundle from her earlier with consent for change of vakalat to engage another lawyer and she has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. It has been informed by the Registry that no one else has entered appearance on behalf of the Petitioner in the matter till date. There does not appear to be any useful purpose being served in keeping the Writ Petition pending indefinitely when the Petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the same.

In the aforesaid circumstances, the Writ Petition is dismissed infructuous. It is made clear that the Petitioner is not precluded from applying for revival of the Writ Petition, if necessary, in accordance with law. No costs.
