ORDER
By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to receive the application of the petitioner dated 30.11.2024 in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online for the grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 k.m. Distance from Salem Town Old Bus Stand, Salem District and to consider the same and to pass orders in accordance with law.
3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the District Authorities are instructed to take necessary steps to consider issuing of fresh permits in respect of CNG Autorickshaw vehicles from the closed permit system. He has also produced the communication to that effect of the Transport and road Safety Commissioner, Chepauk, Chennai, addressed to the All Regional Transport Authorities-cum-District Collectors in Tamil Nadu dated 23.08.2023.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
5. The issue involved in the present writ petition was dealt with in the earlier writ petition in W.P.No.18034 of 2020 dated 11.12.2020 and this Court had, issued direction to the concerned Regional Transport Officer to receive the application of the petitioner in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee.
6. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, the respondent is directed to receive the applications of the petitioner dated 30.11.2024 in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee for grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit and consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
