ORDER

Heard.

This writ petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second and the third respondents to consider the petitioner's

representation, dated 27.01.2014, make an enquiry and issue the patta, in the name of the petitioner, in R.S.No.176/3, having an extent of 0.48 cents, in patta No.340 and R.S.No.15/1, having an extent of 0.18 cents, in patta No.182, situated at Adhanoor village, Ulundurpettai taluk, Villupuram District. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 had submitted that since the matter is relating to the grant of U.D.R. patta, it has to be dealt with by the District Revenue Officer, Villupuram District.

He had further submitted that the petitioner may be permitted to submit a fresh representation to the District Revenue Officer concerned and on such submission of the representation, the said officer may be directed to dispose of the said representation, in the manner known to law. In view of such submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3, this Court finds it appropriate to permit the petitioner to submit a detailed representation to the District Revenue Officer, Villupuram District, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

On receipt of such a representation, the District Revenue Officer, Villupuram District, shall consider and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, fourth respondent and the other parties concerned, if any, within a period of twelve weeks, thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
