Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 30.06.2018 and issue individual patta and chitta in respect of the land settled in favour of the petitioners by virtue of a registered settlement deeds within a time frame. Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioners seek for a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider their representation dated 30.06.2018, wherein and whereby, they sought for issuance of individual patta and chitta in respect of the lands settled in their favour by virtue of registered settlement deeds.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioners before this Court is that the request of the petitioners has not been considered by the respondents so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 30.06.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioners and the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
