This petition is filed to condone the delay of 77 days in preferring the above C.M.A. SR.No.17246 of 2026.

Mr. K. Swaminathan, learned counsel, takes notice for the second respondent.

Since no Caveat has been filed by the first respondent, notice to the first respondent is dispensed with. To that effect, the learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant has also made an endorsement in the bundle. 4.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant, and the other side has not raised any serious objection for allowing this petition. 5.

This Court is satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition. Hence, the petition is allowed and the delay is condoned. 6.

However, it is made clear that the petitioner shall not be entitled to claim any interest for the period of delay, in the event of this Court enhancing the amount of compensation awarded by the Tribunal. 20.02.2026 klt Note: The Registry is directed to number the Appeal, if it is otherwise in order, and list the same on 25.02.2026.
