ORDER
The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner to provide adequate compensatory time to the petitioner for the upcoming Group - II examination scheduled to be held on 08.02.2026, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No. 8, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (DAP - 3.2) Department and the relevant rules and pass such or other orders.
2. Even though this is a service matter to be posted before the concerned Court, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, ready with the instructions, submitted that since the petitioner satisfies the criteria of a candidate with benchmark disability, compensatory time will be provided to the petitioner.
3. It is placed on record that even though the petitioner does not engage a scribe, still, as per G.O.(Ms).No. 8 dated 21.09.2021 and the Commission's Notification No. 11 of 2025 dated 15.07.2025, the extra time as per the Government Order will be permitted to the petitioner.
4. Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 04-02-2026 NSL To
