O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 21.10.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of patta with respect to the subject property which has been categorised as a Government poromboke land.

2. Heard Mr.G.Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is in possession of the subject property for more than 35 years and he is paying necessary property tax for the building situated in the land. The petitioner made a representation dated 21.10.2024 seeking for issuance of patta. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this court

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 21.10.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and necessary orders shall be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
