ORDER
By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry on the petition dated 25.09.2024 submitted under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act and dispose the same.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he approached by their daughters namely Samundeesari and Parvathy assured him that if he transferred the residential plot measuring 1237 sq.ft. situated in Sevvapet Village in Tiruvallur District in their favour, they would take care of him and provide all basic amenities. Thereafter, the petitioner settled the above property in favour of the respondents through a registered Settlement Deed dated 22.10.2020 vide Document No.9476/2020 at Sub Page No.2 of 6
Registrar Office, Thriuvallur. After registration of the said property, they chased the petitioner and his wife. Thereafter, the petitioner has made an application dated 25.09.2024 to the second respondent to take action on his petition as per rules, but the same did not evoke any response from the second respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition for the relief as stated supra.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a petition dated 25.09.2024 to the second respondent in regard to cancelling of the settlement deed executed by the petitioner in favour of his daughters. He further submitted that the petitioner has given another representation dated 10.10.2024 but no action has been taken by the second respondent till date.
5. The leaned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the enquiry will be conducted by the second respondent within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

perused the materials available on records.
7. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the second respondent is directed to conduct the detailed enquiry on the petition given by the petitioner dated 25.09.2024 after giving due notice to the petitioner as well as the interested parties, by affording an opportunity of personal hearing, on merits, in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. This writ petition stands allowed with the above directions. No costs.
