ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the first respondent to transfer the case in Crime No.1352/2014 dated 31.08.2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Guindy Police Station to CBCID and investigate the same and file a final report within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner's daughter, who was married to first accused in this case, committed suicide by self-immolation on 31.08.2014, in connection with which, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.1352 of 2014 for an offence under Section 306 I.P.C.,

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the investigation is not proceeding in proper lines. Recording the submission, this Court directs the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Guindy, to personally monitor the investigation in Crime No.1352 of 2014 and at the time of filing a final report, a copy of the final report may be served to the petitioner.
