Respondents PRAYER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to grant exemption under Section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Learning Act, to the petitioner from attempting 'Tamil' language examination and permit the petitioner to write 'French' as Part-I language under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Learning Act, 2006 in the ensuing 10th SSLC Board Examination to be conducted in the month of March, 2019.

O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to grant exemption under Section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Learning Act, to the petitioner from attempting 'Tamil' language examination and permit the petitioner to write 'French' as Part-I language under the provisions of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Tamil Nadu Learning Act, 2006 in the ensuing SSLC Board Examination to be conducted in the month of March, 2019.

2. After continuous directions of this Court, the Government has passed an order dated 04.03.2019 in Na.Ka.No.002578/B1/2018, in which, the petitioner herein is permitted to write 'French' as Part-I language in the ensuing SSLC Board Examination to be conducted in the month of March, 2019.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner submitted that in view of the order passed by the Government, this Writ Petition may be closed. To that effect, he has also made an endorsement in the bundle.

4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
