ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents particularly the Deputy Collector/District Manager, TASMAC, Villupuram the second respondent herein to revoke the transfer order in Na.Ka.No.A1/584/2022 dated 24.01.2024 and post the petitioner as supervisor in the TASMAC Shop No.11461, Marakkanam Town, Villupuram District as an independent charge and relieve Mr.Saravanan, Supervisor from the TASMAC Shop No.11461, Marakkanam Town, Villupuram District by considering his representation dated 28.01.2024 forwarded to the respondents.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is working as a Supervisor in the respondents Department in the TASMAC Shop No.11584, Saram Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District. While being so, on his request, the second respondent issued an order of transfer dated 24.01.2024, thereby transferred the petitioner to Shop No.11461, Marakkanam Town, Villupuram District as Additional Supervisor.

4. The only grievance of the petitioner is that already the petitioner is working as Supervisor and as such, he cannot be posted as an Additional Supervisor in TASMAC Shop No.11461, Marakkanam Town, Villupuram District, since the third respondent is junior to him. Because of the transfer order, no seniority will be changed and there will be anomaly between the petitioner and the third respondent. Only on the request made by the petitioner, he has been transferred to TASMAC Shop No.11461, Marakkanam Town, Villupuram District as Additional Supervisor.

5. With the above made observation, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
