The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application for patta transfer vide No.2023/0103/02/207146 on 19.01.2023, for issuance of a revenue patta in respect of land comprised in Survey No.429/2 Part to the extent of 3.00 acres in Pallikaranai Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District.

2. The petitioner made an application for issuance of patta or transfer of patta on 19.01.2023 and in order to consider the same, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

The learned Government Advocate for the respondents pointed out that the application itself is dated 19.01.2023 even before one month is lapsed, the present writ petition has been filed, if this kind of writ petition is entertained and direction is given to the Tahsildar to take up the application filed very recently i.e. within one month period, the old applications which 2/4

are chronologically taken up for consideration by the Tahsildar would get affected.

5. Considering the said submissions made by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:

There shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 19.01.2023 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
