ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Mettur to dispose of the case in CC No.184 of 2014 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he has lodged a complaint against his brother T.V.Ravichandran, which was registered as FIR in Crime No.7 of 2014 by the respondent police. After due investigation, charge sheet was filed for the offences punishable under Sections 448, 506(ii) r/w 441 and 420 r/w 511, 468 and 471 IPC and the same was taken on file as CC No.184 of 2014 by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Mettur as early as on 27.06.2014. Thereafter, no progress was made in the said case. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Mettur to expedite the trial of the case in CC No.184 of 2014 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending on his file and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
