Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records pertaining to the detention of the petitioner's husband Dhavamani, aged about 44 years, son of Appavu, by the 2nd respondent under Act 14 of 1982 as Bootlegger vide detention order in S.C.No.16/2020 dated 31.12.2020, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce him being confined in the Central Prison, Salem, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in S.C.No.16/2020 dated 31.12.2020, detaining her husband as "Bootlegger" under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.1007, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 27.02.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
