Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the order dated 19.06.2012 in Ref.No.71 CS & CA/M/CSI.III/2006/249 of the 2nd respondent to restore petitioner's family ration card No.3589 to him.

O R D E R

The impugned order dated 19.06.2012 for issuance of family ration card is under challenge in the present Writ Petition.

2. Admittedly, the appeal lies before the District Collector. However, the petitioner has approached the very same authority for the purpose of reviewing his own order. Therefore, the petitioner has not exhausted the appeal remedy, which is contemplated under rules.

3. In view of the fact that the order impugned was passed by the original authority, the petitioner is at liberty to approach https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the appellate authority i.e., the District Collector. In the event of filing any such appeal, the appellate authority shall consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

4. With these directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
