ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed complaining not compliance of order in W.P.No. 16519 of 2021 which Writ Petition had been disposed of by an order dated 09.08.2021.

2. A direction had been given in the said Writ Petition to the first respondent/ the District Registrar (Admn), South Chennai, SIDCO Industrial Complex, 3rd Block, 3rd Floor, Guindy, Chennai - 600 032, to take control of Appeal preferred on 09.03.2020 and follow the principles of natural justice and dispose of the same on or before 13.10.2021.

3. Giving leverage for some delay owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is to be noted that the first respondent had actually disposed of the appeal adverse to the interest of the petitioner by an order dated 07.01.2022.

4. The learned counsel for the contempt petitioner is aggrieved by such order and states that in a parallel proceedings, benefit had been given to that particular petitioner/appellant, whereas the petitioner herein had been handed over an adverse order.

5. Examination of this statement is beyond the purview of the Contempt Petition and if at all the petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the Authority, the Registration Act provides for necessary alternate methods in which to agitate the issue before the proper forum.

6. In this Contempt Petition, the nature of the order cannot be examined. That would be exceeding jurisdiction. However, noting that there has been an order passed, I would close the Contempt Petition with liberty to the petitioner to proceed in the manner known to law.
