A.No.1009 of 2024 N.SATHISH KUMAR. J., This application has been filed seeking to extend the time period of 12 months for completing the arbitration proceedings pending on the file of the learned Arbitrar Retired Justice A.Ramamurthy, Madras High Court.

2. It is the contention of the applicant that though the witness is already examined, owing to Covid-19 pandemic, cross examination could not be conducted. Therefore, the arbitration proceedings could not be conducted within the time frame.

3.Such view of the matter, this Court is inclined to extend the time period of six months for completing the arbitration proceedings from the date of reciept of a copy of this Order. The learned Arbitrator shall expedite the proceedings.

4. Accordingly, this application is ordered.
