ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to provide an employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground in the TNEB Transmission Line Construction at Mettur by considering the representations dated 19.08.2020 and 05.02.2024.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner's father was appointed as Mazdoor on 22.11.2012. While he was in service, died on 19.04.2014. At that time, the petitioner was minor and as such, his mother made an application seeking employment on compassionate ground. However, she was directed to submit a fresh application, whenever her son attains majority. Immediately, after attaining majority, the petitioner submitted application seeking employment on compassionate ground.
It was rejected on 01.06.2021, referring the Board Proceedings, dated 11.06.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation, on the strength of G.O.Ms.No.33, dated 08.03.2023 seeking employment on compassionate ground. It is pending on the file of the respondents.
4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner seeking employment on compassionate ground and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
