ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter Flarance Dayana Mary, aged about 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Flarance Dayana Mary, aged about 19 years, went missing since 05.02.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

Today, Mr.S.Ulaganathan (Mobile No.94981 52016), SubInspector of Police, Thirukovilur Police Station, is present. 4.
On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thikovilur Police Station Police Station Crime No.124 of 2021 for 'woman missing' was registered on 11.02.2021 and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Flarance Dayana Mary was in love with one Poovan @ Sekar, who is a married man and has ran away with him. He also submitted that the petitioner is not cooperating for the investigation.
Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thirukovilur Sub-Division, to monitor the investigation in Thikovilur Police Station Police Station Crime No.124 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when Flarance Dayana Mary (detenue), is secured, she may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Thirukovilur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
