ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai to conduct speedy trial in the C.C. No.16009 of 2003 within a stipulated time.

2. The petitioner herein has been filed under Section 419, 342, 420, 182, 211 of I.P.C. r/w 34 of I.P.C. and arrayed as A9 in C.C. No.16009 of 2003.

3. It is seen from the report that the trial of the case is pending on the file of the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai, since A2 in the case, is not regular in appearance before the Magistrate either in person or through his counsel. Hence, this case has been split up and numbered as C.C.No.6623 of 2018 as against A2 and now further prosecution witnesses examination has commenced.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Trial Court is directed to complete the trail in C.C. No.16009 of 2003 within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
