Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to
dispose the petitioner representation dated 17.12.2023 and further issue suitable direction to the 1st respondent to issue suitable protection orders to safe guard petitioner life and liberty and personal rights and petitioner family members living rights.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR,J.) This writ petition is filed for issuance of a mandamus to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2023 and to issue suitable direction to the first respondent to pass orders to safeguard the petitioner's life, liberty and personal rights as well the living rights of petitioner's family members.
2. Admittedly, the petitioner submitted a representation to the third respondent seeking Personal Security to himself and the third respondent has rejected his representation by order dated 21.11.2023. The petitioner has
also challenged the order rejecting his representation for PSO protection in a writ petition in W.P.No.1582 of 2024. The petitioner has now filed a complaint before the State Human Rights Commission as if the order rejecting the representation of the petitioner to provide PSO protection to himself violates human rights.
3. In our considered opinion, the petitioner's request to provide PSO protection will have to be considered only on merits and it is not by a mere asking, the respondents should oblige. Even if the representation is dismissed or rejected by the respondent police for reasons, it is always open to the petitioner to challenge the same, which he has done. Since the rejection of his representation does not violate the petitioner's human rights, the complaint before the first respondent itself is not maintainable. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Index : yes/no (S.S.S.R.,J.) (N.S.,J.) 20.06.2024 ss To
