Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to release petitioner's driving license vide Driving License No.TN-29-19960002552 under the custody of the respondent based on petitioner's representation in person, dated 20.01.2025 made to the respondent.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 14.02.2025, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the Registry was directed to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 17.02.2025.

2. When the matter was listed on 17.02.2025, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is present and he would submit that he seeks time to amend the cause title. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned to 03.03.2025.

3. On 03.03.2025 there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the Registry was directed to list the matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 04.03.2025.

4. Even today, 04.03.2025, when the matter was taken up for hearing at 11.25 a.m., none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. It is made clear and evident that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the case.

5. Since there is no representation for the petitioner, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the petition for non-prosecution.
