The writ appeal is directed against the order dated 7 March, 2011 in W.P.No.2064 of 2008.

2. The third respondent filed an affidavit dated 23 June, 2017. In paragraph 4 of the affidavit, it is made clear that they would not allot plot under the discretionary quota.

3. In view of the said statement, the appellant made an endorsement indicating that he is not pressing the appeal.

4. In view of the endorsement so made, the writ appeal is dismissed as not pressed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
