ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.08.2012 seeking appointment to the post of Water Tank Operator.

2. Heard Mr.L.S.M. Hasan Fizal, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and Mr.S.V.Durai Solaimalai, learned counsel appearing for the third respondent. There is no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is inclined to pass orders on merits in this writ petition.

3. The petitioner was appointed as Water Tank Opertor in Gandhi Nagar Panchayat by the third respondent on 06.03.2010. The third respondent Panchayat is reserved for Scheduled Caste and as such, the petitioner's wife contested to the post of President. However, she lost and another person was elected as President. Therefore, the petitioner's employment was disengaged and as such, he submitted a representation before the third respondent to appoint him in any one of the post by way of resolution.

4. Therefore, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
