The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.01.2024 for the offences under Sections 273, 328 of IPC and 7, 20(1) of Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 in Crime No.15 of 2024, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with another accused were found in illegal possession of 172 kgs of banned tobacco products.

3.A2 is still absconding. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that A2 has got the banned tobacco products in Maruthi Suzuki EECo car bearing registration No.TN 50 AL 1436.

4.But however the quantity of tobacco is substantial and the value is nearly about Rs.75,000/-.
